Day One - Prince George to Bell 2 on the Stewart Cassiar Highway, good weather, roads good , accommodations a bit costly but amenities good, terrible  bugs.
Bell 2 is also a Heli Skiing area , apparently has the most runs in Canada. Lodge is very nice , has a dining room and a small store, rooms in main lodge and cabins.  Had planned to stay at Meziadin Lake but the service station and store at Meziadin Junction has been closed and there is now a large construction camp there for the hydro line that in being put in. There was not anyone staying at the camp ground at the lake so ventured up to Bell 2, has not planed to stay here but missed the bridge opening by a few minutes and have ti wait 2 hours , which will make it to late to travel on.
$35.00 for a camping spot, water and hydro.  The bugs here know the sound of a opening door ( dinner bell) and attach on mass.  A challenge to make dinner, ended up eating in my car.

Animal count for the day, 5 bears, 1 deer, 2 marmots, 1 grouse,  none who wanted their photos taken.
